The Hamline Midway Heartwood Festival (formerly Spring Festival) is a one-day, family-friendly, outdoor event celebrating of community, sustainability, and art. Kicking off with a new Bike/Walk Parade, this year's event will feature great entertainmentresource fairs, children's activities, and an art & craft fair that festival visitors have enjoyed in years past. Bring your appetites, because Ginkgo Coffeehouse, Eden Pizza, and Flamingo Restaurant will be providing delicious food at Newell Park!

NEW this year: the festival will bring together environmental sustainability and art themes and feature a Kids' Bike Rodeo, Green Home Improvement Fair, Local Business Fair, and Green Living Workshops in addition to our Bike/Walk Parade. If you are a Hamline Midway resident, this is your opportunity to vote for Hamline Midway Coalition board candidates. Vote at Newell Park between 11:00am and 6:00pm at the Hamline Midway Coalition booth.

Want to see your poetry in Newell Park? Submit a haiku or two at the Hamline Midway Heartwood Festival for the ceremonial tree! The selected poem will be artfully engraved on copper by Gita Ghei and displayed on this tree. Poetry submissions will be accepted from 11am-6pm.

Parking is very limited - please walk or bike. The entrance to the festival will be at the southeast corner of the park at the corner of Hewitt and Wheeler Avenues. This event will run rain or shine! Printed event program booklets will be available at the festival. Preview the program here.
